Here’s another Disney Steelbook to be released in an asian country (Taïwan). No dates or specs have been given yet. So stay tune.

Cars 2 Blu-ray Steelbook

Unlike Future shop in Canada and Best Buy in the U.S.A where the Blu ray of Cars 2 was released in a new type of case called Metal Box, Asian countries such as Korea and Taïwan will get Cars 2 in Steelbook edition. The artwork is the same for both countries. And the Steelbook will contain the 2D+3D version of the movie just like the asian Steelbook of “The lion king”. The release date is 18th November for Taïwan, and much later 28th of November for Korea.

There are three version currently identified in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand. The Steelbooks are set to be released on October 27th. They all appear to have the same artwork, check it out below.

The Lion King Steelbook in Taiwan?

Following the news that the U.S. version of The Lion King was not in fact a Steelbook or even an Ironpak, there’s been some hope that perhaps the version in Taiwan is in fact a Steelbook. The item can be bought via yesasia.com. Check below for the rest of the details and artwork.

Gladiator Taiwan Blu-ray SteelBook Release

So as many SteelBook collectors know Gladiator has seen a release in damn near every country known to man! It’s left many hardcore collectors thinking which will be the best one? Plus, some of us are looking for the coolest looking covers or just those with original artwork. So far there has been the UK mask cover art release much like the Mexico Gladiator SteelBook release just adding a peice of back paper, and then white cover art release. The white one has seen releases in Germany, France, Thailand and many more. The Thailand is almost identical to this Taiwan release except for the simple fact of this really cool mask like artwork of the UK steel but in slip cover.
